“Public safety and order in Prussia could no longer be guaranteed“

In an article ominously titled “We are witnessing the death of American democracy” Ambrose Evans-Pritchard notes:

Contrary to general belief, Weimar democracy did not die when Adolf Hitler became chancellor of Germany in January 1933.

It died the year before under Franz von Papen, a national conservative with social-Darwinist views and a visceral hatred of liberal modernist “filth” in all its forms.

The Free State of Prussia was the largest and most important state in the Weimar Republic. As Hitler’s NSDAP was consolidating power, Franz von Papen, chancellor of the German Reich, requested that President Paul von Hindenburg replace the Prussian government on July 20, 1932.

In much the same way Hitler used the Reichstag Fire to complete his grip on power, von Papen used Altona Bloody Sunday, a violent street battle between the Nazi Sturmabteilung (SA) aka “Brownshirts,” Prussian police and supporters of the Communist Party only three days before Hindenburg’s decree, on July 17th, as a justification for a coup d’état of the Prussian government.

The cause of the riot was that the Prussian government had made a deal with Hitler to allow the violent anti-communist SA and SS back into Prussia, so the SA staged an “army parade” with 7,000 Brownshirts, that was called a “provocation” by anti-fascists. This devolved into fighting across Germany. The Nazis claimed it was started by communist “snipers on rooftops” which was dutifully reprinted by the American press. 18 Germans died, including some of the communists by beheading.

Notably, Franz von Papen was an aristocratic, monarchist Catholic and a Knight of Malta, a nearly thousand year old cult originally formed to support the Knights Templar during the Crusades. As I’ve written extensively, the charitable image this organization has tried to create for itself is simply a front for an anti-democratic, anti-Islam geopolitical influence operation using the trappings of the Church to wage a modern holy war.

The Knights of Malta has inspired at least two of the worst white supremacist mass murderers in modern history, Brenton Tarrant and Anders Breivik. Other members include:

• William Casey — Director of the CIA for Reagan, Manhattan Institute

• Leonard Leo — Federalist Society, Opus Dei, installed six SCOTUS Justices

• Phyllis Schlafly (Dame) — CNP, Eagle Forum, Flynn family friend

• Gen. Stanley McChrystal — Flynn’s boss in Iraq and Afghanistan

• Cardinal Raymond Burke — Steve Bannon/Vigano ally

• Jimmy Savile — Convicted pedophile

• Saad Habba — US Chancellor of SMOM, Alina Habba’s father

Enter the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, who is landing in my home city of Los Angeles today to promote the Trump regime’s illegal, unconstitutional deployment of nearly 5,000 Armed Forces to “guard“ a single building.

The rationale for Trump seizing control of the California Guard and sending a battalion of Marines trained to seek out and kill the enemy was very similar to von Papen’s. After Trump sent violent, anonymous gangs under the banner of ICE to round up people that looked like immigrants, a blatant provocation, that led to mostly peaceful protests, he said this:

“Now violent, insurrectionist mobs are swarming and attacking our Federal Agents to try and stop our deportation operations - But these lawless riots only strengthen our resolve. I am directing Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Pam Bondi, in coordination with all other relevant Departments and Agencies, to take all such action necessary to liberate Los Angeles from the millMigrant Invasion, and put an end to these Migrant riots. Order will be restored, the velIllegals will be expelled, and Los Angeles will be set free.”

Von Papen was, like JD Vance, an opportunist who used his connections to the Catholic Church to seek out and wield power. JD Vance is effectively a fully owned tool of Peter Thiel, who is deeply connected to Opus Dei, and gave the Vice President $15 million to run for Senate in 2019—the same year Vance converted to Catholicism.

Upon landing in Los Angeles this afternoon, JD Vance wasted no time continuing this provocation, by taunting California Senator Alex Padilla, who was violently detained for asking Kristi Noem a question, by misnaming him “Jose,” and claiming that California Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass were “absolutely endangering the lives” of ICE officers and:

“By treating this as a sanctuary city have basically said that it is open season on federal law enforcement.”

For clarity, here is what the “federal law enforcement” JD Vance is lying about are actually doing, grabbing people who don’t “look American” and randomly assaulting them. From a personal perspective, if a bunch of masked anonymous thugs rolled up on me like this, I would use everything in my power to avoid being kidnapped.

JD Vance is currently playing the part of Franz von Papen, intentionally creating a provocation with the full intent to use it to execute a coup against the most important State in the Union. There is no functional difference between these ICE agents and the Nazi SA that provoked Altona Bloody Sunday.

Finally, with JD Vance now in Los Angeles, Donald Trump declared that he’s going to take, with no irony, “two weeks” to decide whether or not to bomb Iran in conjunction with Bibi Netanyahu. It’s unclear what will happen in those two weeks to make his mind up but when a reporter asked if Trump would do a full investigation into any attack on US interests before assigning blame to Iran, he said this:

“Well, if there's an attack, we'll know almost immediately with modern equipment who made the attack, and those people will be very, very unhappy. I want to get you people out of danger.”

Trump is currently in a very challenging situation. He is endeared, it seems, to both Vladimir Putin, who is allied with Iran and increasingly angry with Trump, and to Netanyahu, who has been a vehicle for anti-Islamic christofascist elements in the government for decades. Many of Trump’s most vocal MAGA supporters are deeply upset at the prospect of another war in the Middle East.

It would be a very tidy solution to Trump’s problems were there a 9/11-type attack on America, either at home or abroad, that he could immediately blame on Iran. MAGA would have to support him, and it would provide another “emergency” excuse to wage violence on civilians and satisfy the warmongers who helped him get elected.
