Whatever confederacy of dunces came up with this stunt during Pride Month needs to go. Fuck Nancy Reagan — who hid her husband’s Alzheimer’s and consulted with astrologers while she intentionally ignored AIDS ravaging the gay community and then blamed them for it.
And to make this more infuriating, somehow Louis DeJoy, who actively tried to rig the election for Donald Trump, disenfranchising millions had he succeeded, is still in his job giving out stamps to Republicans. I’m sure he’s giggling his ass off about this.
Was this some genius’s idea of reaching out to the other side? Bipartisanship? Norms? WHAT?
All this does is cement the idea this administration is out of touch and incapable of reading the room much less meeting the moment.
Stop fucking around with stamps to Republicans and start arresting them.
Seriously though... why IS DeJoy still there. I could swear a couple weeks ago we finally got the board members we needed to oust him. Anyone know WTF is going on?
Out of touch plus failure to read the room is an unfortunate aspect of this event. DeJoy should have been fired by now, not awarded for undermining our democratic process. It’s disheartening to witness how near we are to losing our democracy as the band plays on.
