Of course Trump is going to attempt to throw HIS version of “christian” faith at the American people and then attempt to force them to accept it.

That is part of the reason 100’s of retired judges (look up Judge Luttig) are going after these Trump Constitutional posers!!!

There IS and WILL NOT be a forced religion in this country. The United States was born from a war to throw out any forced religion.

There will be no forced religion according to the FIRST AMENDMENT.

The SECOND AMENDMENT reinforces the rights given to Americans by the First Amendment and the Declaration of Independence.

Judge Luttig and the others have recognized that no law protecting the people’s rights as guaranteed by the Constitution means no right guarantees anyone’s rights either.

I have repeatedly said, including on your Substack, my highly respected fellow American, I have faith in Jesus. I have seen Heaven during a NDE. But I have also been the subject of religious prejudice at home just by growing up as a Protestant in a Catholic neighborhood.

While traveling in Europe, I visited sites where 1000’s of people were put to death merely by being the “wrong” faith for the particular monarch at the time.

The men who wrote our Constitution knew EXACTLY what they were writing!! They fled Europe to escape the whims of Monarchs regarding religion. They would never have permitted it in their newly won homeland.

John 10:9. I went through the gate and was SENT back and probably - for such a time as this🙏

Trump’s people - you are the ones breaking your oath to protect the Constitution. What did Jesus say about obeying an oath once you made it??

LYING ABOUT RELIGION AND THE CONSTITUTION IS STILL LYING AND GOD HATES LIARS!!!

Read your Bibles about what the Almighty does to Liars!!!!!

Read the parable - Lazarus and the Rich Man.

You have had your warning ‼️

Oh, boy! An American version of the Spanish Inquisition! What fun! Don’t think that the official Keepers of God won’t rain hell fire and brimstone on your head if they feel like it!

Right. To these benighted idjits, religious liberty means the freedom to impose their religion on everyone else, which is, of course, the exact opposite of what it is supposed to mean.

It’s like the freedom for oligarchs to rob the economy of all the profits derived from the work of the rest of the people and the public facilities created using tax payer money.

It’s the same mental illness, with or without reference to a false god.

Jim, thanks for this! I'm very concerned about this issue. I do not want an American Theocracy. I recommend people support the group "Americans United" which focuses on this very issue of church and state.

When I was in White Christian Nationalist junior high school, my church hired a propagandist to speak at chapel. He regaled us for almost an hour about how much communists hate Christians. How they raided basements where Christians were holding secret services because they couldn't worship openly. How they lined Christians up (he actually forced some of us to stand in a line at the front at this point) and demanded that they deny Christ or die. He claimed that each person who refused was split in two with a saber, and they person behind them in line had to eat their insides before facing the same choice.

I had nightmares about this for years.

Churches paid money for this stuff. People still sit in pews and listen to it.

So OF COURSE they're going to make everyone who refuses to be WCN a communist.

What we first perceived as sporadic rot in the system is actually widespread gangrene. America needs to perform some serious amputations, if the body of democracy is to be healed.

If I awoke to front page headlines screaming in bold print that the White House had been razed by an angry mob overnight, and reduced to smoldering rubble, I would feel that act justified.

Each day since the Trump regime has been in power has provided fresh new insult and injury to America's weary citizens and the world in general. I don't condone violence, but a breaking point is inevitable. Whether through revolution or civil war, the current trajectory of the US is not sustainable.

While the glimmer of hope offered by the pending midterm elections seems to be subduing indignation with optimism, I hold little faith in the ballot box providing miraculous relief to the persecuted masses. Even if a blue wave ensues, there is substantial complicity and corruption throughout the old-school Democrats, who will do little more than offer lip service to appease voters, rather then implement desperately needed foundational change to a seriously flawed political structure.

The downfall of most revolutions is human weakness. Power corrupts.

I pray the imminent showdown will break that mold and usher in a future of empathy, compassion and equality, where community over self is the guiding principle.

Most good people do good things, evil people do evil things, all it takes is religion to get the good folks on the evil side.

I wish I knew how to get more people to listen to you. After all my years wasted being an ordained minister and teaching the bible, and all my years spent fighting against religious hypocrites trying to persecute us, I have finally realized why nobody listens.

It seems the entire world is in denial of the true evils of religion. Even those born and raised atheist will deny it because they know a few who are good people. It is forgotten how the Dark Ages of the West were caused by the church. It is remembered how the secular Arab scholars helped the European institutes of education recover with the advanced sciences of the East. Yet they defend the religion that has been driving the Arab world into their own dark ages of today, Islam.

Just ask them or their secular defenders where in their bible those "Christian principles" are. Where in the quran it says anything about a religion of peace. Where, in any holy book of any religion, does it have any of the freedoms like in our Bill of Rights. Or any holy book that endorsed democracy instead of kings. Even Buddha was a prince.

All you will hear is silence, or more made up lies.

Thank you, Jim. This is confirmation that the Trump regime is fighting us: We the People, on every level of our Constitutional freedoms and Human Rights. Their stated vision of a Gilded Age is turning into an American Medieval Inquisition.

Debauched deranged hypocrites trying to impose a theocracy. Sick through and through and not in the least bit decent or Christian in my opinion.
