I keep coming back to thinking that Putin *must* have some really compromising, damaging material on Trump and has threatened to use it if Trump ever doesn't give him all of what he desires. That's the simplest and most convicing explanation to me. I mean, it's hard to believe that Trump would be *that* enamored with the person, the being of Vladimir Putin, even though, yes, he idiotically looks up to asshole dictators. I feel like there has be a monumental threat of catastrophe to Trump's reputation, standing and legacy if he ever disobeys, displeases Putin. that is, above all, guiding his actions in relation to Putin and Russia. They're so damned consistent.

It’s been reported that many of the European leaders are coming in on Monday, including Zelenskyy for a summit with the president. Hopefully something positive will emerge out of that. It is always unusual to see Trump in Putin’s space. In fact, it’s the only time that he looks completely and totally overwhelmed & submissive.

Putin withdraws, instant peace. This is not difficult.

Have you see the Getty image that WaPo used for one of their articles on the so-called summit? Yikes! (I'm unable to post it here.) It's obvious that trump is desperate for Putin's acceptance and approval -- very serious "Daddy" issues on full display here as in Helsinki -- of which Putin is well aware. His old man must've done a helluva number on young Donny.

It’s interesting to observe that the only person that represents the boss image for Trump is Putin. That’s his boss, that’s who he works for. This relationship goes back years. Years of grooming Donald Trump. This is the Trump we see every time he encounters Putin.

Sadly, Zelenskyy and Ukraine are caught in the middle of this mess. It’s not going well and NATO is not going to save him.

Well maybe not NATO per se but hopefully a "coalition of the willing and well-funded."

Jim, excellent article. Yes, it will be interesting to see how tRump compensates for this humiliation. Does anyone know if tRump's offer of Alaska's rare earth minerals to Russia was effectuate? I surely hope not!

I love the clip of tRump walking with the Monty Python theme playing. Looks like he needs a sobriety test!

Thanks for your breakdown Jim of today's embarrassment on the world stage.

You called it Jim! I couldn’t watch the meeting. Would have tuned in if something “miraculous”, on a secular basis had happened, but otherwise, I wasn’t interested in watching our POTUS play second to Putin. Waiting to see the fallout. I am certain the rest of the world wasn’t surprised either.

Everyone around the world whose head isn't permanently lodged deep inside their own asshole knew exactly how embarrassing, for Trump AND our entire country, this "meeting" would be. That includes most of the dipshits inside his own administration, though I've no doubt they refused to fill Deep Daddy Diaper in on that assessment.

At this point, EVERY single journalistic outlet that hasn't already assumed a permanent position on their knees, needs to loudly and repeatedly hammer home just how pathetically weak Trump looked. Likewise, every comedian, social media influencer, foreign news outlet, talk show host, and others with platforms needs to do the same.

I fully understand that he will lash out, he's gonna do that regardless. However, in my opinion at least, forcing this unbelievably fragile and weak sociopath over the finish line and into full narcissistic self implosion, and in turn mental collapse, might provide the best opening we will get. Of course, there's also a slim chance it could plunge the world into full on nuclear annihilation too, so..... flip a coin?

Well said and I completely agree. We must break out of the “bystander complex.” When the first person comes forward, it’s makes it easier for the next and then the next. Sadly, instead, we’ve been seeing payments for protection with our universities, our law firms, high-tech and the list goes on. Somehow, this must change.

Watching him weave on the red carpet he rolled out with "Yakkity Sax" playing in my head doesn't reassure me they just bullshat on US soil for however long they did.

Did the mini-Muscovite remind Diaper Don of the kompromat he's got, which probably features him and Roy Cohn doing shit to each other and young boys in a limo or peddling his own kids at an uptown Epstein get-together or having 12 year old girls dress up as Ivanka before raping them?

Or did the nihilistic pigs discuss their declining health as the global eyes see their genocidal, land-grabby, illicit shenanigans, deciding they'll push the button in unison to take everyone out with them? Because that's also the type of dick taters they are.

Or, nothing will come of it; it was just another distraction.

Meanwhile in England, Vladimir Futon was refused at a highly regarded gastropub called The Bull in the Cotswolds. Little press about it, but gotta love a joint with scruples. It will probably be a while to get a reservation there!

It was the pub’s staff that threatened to walk off the job if they allowed JD to be there.

So proud of them!

As a former restaurant owner, I was always on the same side as my staff though I've never been faced with it. One of my early temporary chefs, Carole, had a place in DC in the late 90s / early 200s and on busy night while in the weeds, a waiter alerted the kitchen Rove and Rumsfeld (I am pretty sure it was that gruesome twosome) seated themselves and without missing a beat she said, 'tell them to fuck off and then throw the chairs out. We don't serve war criminals.' She was also involved with Comet Ping-Pong during the Q-Anon 'pizza gate.' The resto didn't have a basement.

During the dickwit's first term, the screensaver on the POS terminal had "FUCK TRUMP" bouncing around during inactivity. I remember this little kid walked by to use the toilet and his eyes grew wide, turned around to fetch his mom and secretly pointed out, probably the "bad" word on the screen. Mom winked and gave me a thumbs up. I don't think there was a drumpf voter in my ZIP code.

I've seen comments on a few articles here where fascist leaning foodies are threatening to not go. Great! Please don't! They probably like steaks well-done with a side of ketchup in honor of their assholian leader.

Like that episode of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' when Larry David discovers the people repelling power of the MAGA hat, on the kinder side, sticking with decency and beliefs for the better will attract a more desirable and informed clientele.
