May Day, 1941: Are We Reliving Stalin & Hitler’s Last Kiss?
Is this what’s ahead for Putin and Trump?
84 years ago today, Stalin had a May Day Parade with a high-ranking delegation from Nazi Germany. Seven weeks later, Hitler began Operation Barbarossa, the Wehrmacht’s assault on the Soviet Union, which was a betrayal to Stalin, and a fatal military blunder to Germany.
May 1, 1941 in Red Square, Moscow:
Yesterday, Vladimir Putin, the dictator of the Russian Federation, renamed the city of Volgograd to Stalingrad, in honor of one of the most brutal despots of the 20th century, communist dictator Joseph Stalin. Putin has been increasingly open about rehabilitating and celebrating Stalin as a hero, a false history which is being adopted more and more into Russian society.
Simultaneously, on Russian state media, propagandists reminisced about the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact between Stalin and Hitler, with Trump in Hitler’s role.
“Let me remind you. When USSR signed a pact with Hitler, everyone knew this regime’s ideology. Everyone had read Mein Kampf. Everyone in leadership knew the goals of this nation.”
Putin’s actual ideology is not communist. While he is fundamentally a KGB agent with a fondness for the Soviet Union, his viewpoint is much more nationalist than Marxist. His ideology is best summed up by the slogan of Tsar Nicholas I: “Orthodoxy, Autocracy and Nationality.”
The doctrine sought Imperial unity under Orthodox Christianity and the absolute authority of the Emperor, while suppressing ideas deemed destructive to that unity. It followed a broader European reactionary trend that sought to restore and defend political institutions that were overthrown in the Napoleonic Wars.
It is the Romanovs that haunt Putin far more than Lenin or Marx. And it was the Romanovs and the White Movement in Russia that inspired one of Putin’s favorite philosophers, ultra-nationalist, ultra-fascist Ivan Ilyin, who
wrote about in his book The Road to Unfreedom.It is also the White Movement that popularized the antisemitic hoax Protocols of the Elders of Zion after the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917, which inspired Henry Ford who, in turn, inspired Hitler. On a personal note, the White Movement caused the pogroms of Jews in Russia that forced my grandparents to come to America as children over a century ago — all in the name of “anti-communism.”

To complete this picture, this morning, Stephen Miller, whose Joseph Goebbels impression is quite accurate in both style and substance, delivered this National Socialist diatribe right from the White House podium, an “anti-communist” manifesto effectively demanding the education system be turned into the American Hitlerjügend.
“Children will be taught to love America. Children will be taught to be patriots. Children will be taught civic values for schools that want federal taxpayer funding. So as we close the Department of Education and we provide funding to states, we are going to make sure that these funds are not being used to promote communist ideology. For any nation to be successful, it cannot teach its children to hate themselves and to hate their country. So these are a few of the areas in which President Trump has fought the cancerous communist woke culture that was destroying this country, where we led to believe that men were women, that women were men, the racial discrimination was good, that merit was bad, and that safety and physical security, matter less, than the feelings of liberal ideologues.“

Trump just signed the long awaited “minerals deal” with Ukraine, after Zelenskyy played him like a fiddle to get to something that helps Ukraine. Now Trump, in many ways, is stuck.
The alliance between Russia and Germany only lasted a few years. The alliance between Russian intelligence and Donald Trump has lasted for at least four decades. But the alliance between Russia and the United States government is only 101 days old now. We’re in a very different era and Putin may see his chance at revenge for past offenses.
Donald Trump is not a geopolitical strategist. He does not have a “long game.” The Russians do. Trump has unilaterally lowered all of our national security defenses, opened the doors to Russian propagandists in the White House, and put compromised idiots in the Cabinet. If Putin was going to get his own retribution on America, and on the West, we have never been weaker.
May Day, 1941, was the last kiss between two of the 20th century’s most horrific men — before they slaughtered each other. Do not be surprised if the alliance between the 21st century‘s most horrific men, goes no better.

I read your article about Musk, Thiel and the comparison with Henry Ford. I had never read the word accelerationist - by the way my iPhone has no clue how to spell it - until I discovered it when I stumbled upon the Adrian Dittmann alias of Musk. At first, I didn’t believe it was Musk and didn’t pay attention.
Then, I wondered what the members were supposed to accelerate except human stupidity.
It was described by legacy media as a community accelerating AI. It was impossible as among all the speakers over a year or so, not a single one could define AI and knew CUDA except one Eliott, 20 years old who appeared in September 2024. And Gary Marcus of course who spoke once.
If we remove people like Ed and Brian Krassenstein, Lara Loomer, Ian Miles Cheong etc, only young men, usually barely 20 spoke in it.
It was described as the equivalent of the Hitler youth: a brainwashing community for young men.
A 26 year old, Jason, who is in San Francisco, refused to talk in it except for 10 minutes through the account of Elliot. I had Elliot several times on the phone: Adrian Dittmann managed to make him drop out of college in March, to have him more and more sleep deprived. He’s turning into a zombie. His father is trying to extract him from X with no success.
I can’t imagine the number of young men damaged by this alias and community even if Musk is replaced by an employee who speaks faster now and then.
Kara Wisher thinks that Musk is going to end like Howard Hughes. I think so too: he’s already started living in hotels, in a complete state of paranoia, I lost count of his alias on X and Instagram. He’s restarted the spaces under Adrian Dittmann parody, Timeless Martian and Adrian Dittmann a couple of days ago. Dunno if it’s Musk or not, I didn’t listen.
Stalin, the Romanov, Hitler: they’re all the same. I crossed DDR in a military train in 1987 and then went to East Berlin. The train was stopped every hour or so by the Soviet army. We had the order to close all the curtains of the French military train from the moment the train entered DDR. The Soviets were launching German shepherds to inspect the outside of the train. I didn’t take any pictures. The French military told me not to be seen, not to trigger the flash by mistake.
Then, in Berlin, I saw very little difference to the monuments built by Hitler to the ones built by the soviets. I have only 3 pictures of this trip. It cured me definitely to be attracted by any extremists of any kind.
Our schools do NOT teach our children to hate America but they do not whitewash some of the heinous actions that have been taken in the name of the United States. What he wants is for the students to be indoctrinated into believing that Fascism isn't all that evil.
