ICYMI Newsweek is not the Newsweek from the dentist’s office ten years ago. It’s a bunch of propagandists sitting around trying to figure out how to trade on the dying embers of a once powerful brand.
There is a lot of yapping on Telegram about tomorrow being some sort of “event.” It’s worth turning up the situational awareness half a notch just because they always project what they plan, but there is nothing organized I have seen so far.
But Newsweek is unsatisfied with the amount of bullshit out there around this date so it put this absolute trash out to get people riled up.
First of all, Newsweak this is not “TECH & SCIENCE” you fucking morons, it’s disinformation being spread by a cult. Second, when you put “spreads theory that” in your headline you forgot the word FALSE. It would TOTALLY fit.
Sure, down in the story you hand wave that this is unlikely but then there’s this:
“No one quite knows what to expect from 9/24 but the most popular theory is that Earth will be hit by a massive solar flare, which will supposedly bring about the end of the world.“
And then there’s a giant exploding earth. 😑
“No one quite knows” is the beginning of a ghost story not a “TECH & SCIENCE” article, dipshits.
“The amount of energy released by these flares is equivalent to millions of nuclear bombs going off at the same time so it is no wonder people are concerned.“
It’s “no wonder people are concerned” because asshats like you CONCERN THEM.
Then cultists like this use your nonsense to create more propaganda. There is no difference between your dumbass story and this guy who thinks he saw the acronym “EMP” in the fucking clouds. Knock it off all of you. Tomorrow is Saturday. That’s it.
Newsweek has sadly lost all credibility.
I'm leaf peeping in the mountains 🍂tomorrow which puts me closer to the sun. If I start getting fried, I'll put out a warning to you all here so you can save yourselves.... If I can get reception, that is. Good luck! 🌞
