As usual, the press is inhaling the story being handed to them by the right wing for everyone’s consumption — it’s so tiring.
Today, the story being told is that Trump fans are SO SUPER MAD that the FBI and DOJ better not do any more investigating or law enforcement or there’s going to be ultra-violence.

TheDonald has this kind of shit all the time. It’s true that they have a special day today because they have fresh things to bitch about. But “lock and load” is just about the most common phrase in these chats. It’s not a reason to go on MSNBC tonight and make it sound like the nazis are bashing down everyone’s front door.
This is just unfocused emotion. They have no plan, no target, no leader. It is not 1/6 all over again — yet. What they want is for normies to look at them doing their usual crying and think: “Oh no, they look so dangerous, I hope Merrick Garland doesn’t go too far with the whole justice thing.”
I’m watching my 500 Telegram channels and yeah, there is a shitload of crying and violent fantasizing, but just moderately more than any average day, and nowhere near the worst I’ve seen it. Trump’s indictment is already expected. The Grand Jury has been calling witnesses for weeks.
And Trump’s competition, like this guy, is perfectly happy to have Trump out of the way. What people like Flynn and DeSantis will do is support Trump just enough to ensure everyone gets very mad and radicalized, but not so much that it rescues Trump from his fate.
Regardless, we’re already in a psychological and political civil war and this was an important battle. Trump getting his Mar-a-logo safe cracked is a victory. We should celebrate it before we start shooting ourselves in the foot again.

Just speculation but this might explain why Biden left Chris Wray in post as FBI director, so it doesn’t look so political when Trump and co. get raided or arrested.
The same goes for Charles Flynn. He gets promoted to USARPAC, then when Mike later gets taken down by the DOJ or DOD court martial, the optics looks more ‘both sides’.

What I'm most worried about is violence or mass intimidation of voters and poll workers in the midterms by thugs (both civilian and uniformed; think "constitutional sheriffs") and radicalized "poll watchers" primed to see fraud in anything they don't understand.
