The New York Times has fallen so far, it’s really quite shocking. This is one of the most embarrassing articles from them in a long time, which is saying something.
Quoting anonymous sources that wouldn’t actually tell the reporters anything specific, the Times manages to whitewash genocidal Nazi Aleksandr Dugin and his genocidal Nazi daughter who deserved what she got, while blaming the Ukrainians.
That story is exactly what Putin — and Dugin — wanted.
It is astonishing that an actual newspaper printed this story under these circumstances.
“The [anonymous] American officials who spoke about the intelligence did not disclose [anything]”
“[Anonymous] US officials would not say [anything]”
The Ukrainians, quite rationally, deny it.
Here the New York Times says genocidal Nazi Daria Dugina was “accused” by the West of spreading Russian propaganda about Ukraine.
Accused?
In the meantime the Nazis are going crazy and pointing at this as proof that the Ukrainians are behind it. Here’s Dugin himself.
Here’s Nazi Nick Fuentes. On the left you can see a list of white supremacist channels gloating about this story.
Printing this trash with no sourcing or confirmation was irresponsible at best, and deliberate disinformation at worst. This will hurt people.
Idiots.

NYT Prints Unsourced Propaganda about Dugin’s Daughter
Minor BS from the times. Screw Dugins daughter and screw Dugin too. Like the old saying goes, “hey man, nice shot”. More like this. We are at war. And for any wanna-be, incel paid trolls poised to comment on my comment, go fuck yourself.
I unsubscribed from NYT when they printed some blatant fluffing of the CCP that pissed off my Taiwanese wife. I wrote it off as part of some effort at balance in their reporting, but in some cases there are just right and wrong sides to be on and NYT seemed to be on the wrong side a lot, though not always, in it's coverage of the PRC. I eventually came to agree with my wife's take.
In this case, whatever the fact of the matter may be regarding who killed Dugina, this strikes me as a poor choice of stories. Also, as you pointed out it's awfully short wrt to substance. I suppose to play devil's advocate, the details may be sensitive and/or classified intelligence. But then should the whole story be in such a time as this, I would think.
