I unsubscribed from NYT when they printed some blatant fluffing of the CCP that pissed off my Taiwanese wife. I wrote it off as part of some effort at balance in their reporting, but in some cases there are just right and wrong sides to be on and NYT seemed to be on the wrong side a lot, though not always, in it's coverage of the PRC. I eventually came to agree with my wife's take.
In this case, whatever the fact of the matter may be regarding who killed Dugina, this strikes me as a poor choice of stories. Also, as you pointed out it's awfully short wrt to substance. I suppose to play devil's advocate, the details may be sensitive and/or classified intelligence. But then should the whole story be in such a time as this, I would think.

You were one of the most unique voices calling out QAnon, way before the rest of the mainstream and CONservatives figured out it was an operation. I want to ask you about something you mentioned back during election season. You claimed that QAnon was modeled on something called “the glass bead game”.
With your experience with ARGs, would you be kind enough to help me understand what the glass bead game is in relation to QAnon? I’ve been searching for information from you on this topic but I have not been able to find anything. If I’m just totally wrong and misremembering you can let me know that too.
