I’m half thinking that this might be due to a spat with Koch for not being fascist enough, but this could be kayfabe. The other alternative is that they expect all of the funding vehicles involved in Jan 6 will be RICO’d and they want to move money to a new entity that won’t get seized. If I had to guess, it is more the latter. That really seems like this is the direction Garland is aiming for. If he wasn’t taking an organizational approach, I think a lot more people would be in prison right now.
