Putin Has Him Surrounded
“The break between Putin and Trump over Iran has shifted the target of the Russian psychological war machine from civilians to Trump himself”
As I’ve been reporting, the break between Putin and Trump over Iran has shifted the target of the Russian psychological war machine from civilians to Trump himself. The entire array of Putin’s proxies have fanned out to mock Trump’s obedience and promote his competition.
On Russian state television yesterday, Vladimir Solovyov assured his colleagues that “Comrade Trump,” despite public disagreements with Putin over Iran, is still an obedient puppet causing maximum chaos in America.
“Comrade Trump is doing everything very correctly.
Comrade Trump will unleash civil war.
He will destroy America’s trade with its partners.
He will drive everyone to destruction.”

The sneering, superior attitude towards their “Comrade” in the White House is nothing new for the Russians, but the stakes are very high now, and Trump seems to be both tightening and losing his grip on power at the same time, a kind of Schrodinger’s fist. This is a dangerous place for a messianic narcissist with the nuclear codes to be.
While the Russians are obviously unhappy with Trump siding with Israel in its war with Iran, Trump seems to be, as he always does, bending over backwards to make Putin like him again. Trump dropped sanctions on several banks close to Putin, which were put in place by Biden, specifically so that Russian nuclear agency Rosatom could move forward building a nuclear plant in Hungary, a pure gift to the Russian dictator—not to mention Putin’s other puppet, Viktor Orban.

Trump is making this gesture while Putin continuously rains terror in waves against Ukrainian civilians, a campaign of senseless violence designed to traumatize the population, a surge of war crimes which Trump ignores every single day.
Regardless of Trump’s peace offering, the Russians are putting pressure on Trump across the board. One of Trump’s first and most enthusiastic cheerleaders, and the architect of much of Putin’s strategy and nationalist ideology, Aleksandr Dugin, had this to say about Trump getting involved in the war with Iran:
“I think that maybe he was really blackmailed. Many American patriots, they say Trump was blackmailed by Mossad, because he participated in the orgies or illicit actions on Epstein Island. They blackmailed him through those networks, and that would end his presidency immediately. Because Epstein’s case is something so awful that all American people are in a state of rage against that. And if Trump is now, it seems, was implicated in or participated in that—so that would end his career. But many consider that the war against Iran is confirmation of the fact that he was on the Epstein list.”
—“Putin’s Brain” Aleksandr Dugin
This is the most direct accusation yet by someone who may have knowledge outside of America, and represents a real threat to Trump, regardless of its truth.
Dugin’s vision for America is effectively the same as Solovyov’s—that Trump will “unleash civil war” and “drive everyone to destruction.” Trump is, and has always been, a true Manchurian candidate.
“So I believe the Third World War, involving the United States, could unfold in parallel with a civil war within the country—not only between two factions of the population, but a three-pole civil war. Not just one against the other, but there are liberal democrats, there is the hardcore MAGA, and there are Trumpists and neocons loyal to Trump.”
On the same broadcast, the head of Russian intelligence proxy Russia Today, Margarita Simonyan, delivered an astonishing vision of the future that also invoked apocalyptic tones. Describing Elon Musk’s Neuralink she asks:
“How long until all of humanity is microchipped?
Let’s recall the book of Revelation, the last part of the Bible, the Apocalypse. It says the Antichrist will come, and he will cause everyone, the rich and poor, big and small, free and slaves, will have to receive a mark on their hand… Everything is moving this direction.”
Simonyan is echoing the same comments given by the living Antichrist himself, Peter Thiel, a few days ago in the New York Times. Thiel was ask repeatedly about the survival of humanity, and was, at best, ambivalent about it. Several months ago Elon Musk described humanity as a “biological bootloader for AI”—effectively reducing humans to a husk that should be thrown away after the tech bros create a “machine god.”
But Simonyan also, importantly, delivered the primary myth of Russian Cosmism right into the camera, a full-throated elocution of a century-old space religion that drove the early Russian rocketry program.
“I will say something wild, but you’ll see, it will happen. At some point, people will reach the level of technology that can be described as a medical resurrection. The way it’s written in the Bible, except it’s written metaphorically using other words. On the basis of DNA, people can be resurrected. People will be resurrected… 150 billion people will be resurrected.”
This is the same thing Peter Thiel said last year when he suggested that science was “exhausted” and it should be replaced by something more Christian, like Russian Cosmism, which calls for resurrection of the dead. The basic idea of the Cosmists was: “since we’re going to resurrect billions of people, we’d better have another planet to put them on, so get to building those rockets!”
Thiel is one of the primary reasons the federal government is destroying science and health at a horrifying rate, so it is both remarkable that Thiel, Musk and the head of Russia Today are all promoting the same Russian space religion—and incredibly predictable.
To make things more complex for Trump, his domestic allies are unhappy with him as well. Russian Cosmism enjoyer Elon Musk hates the big beautiful bill, not because of the hell it will unleash on America, but because he doesn’t like debt, and because Trump is crushing his Tesla business with taxes to EVs and solar.
To complete the circle of Russian proxies who are unhappy with Trump, here is Tim Pool, who was identified as a subcontractor of Russian intelligence by the FBI, and Putin’s General, Mike Flynn, complaining that Trump hasn’t arrested enough people for Russiagate yet.
So it appears that Trump has not just lost the confidence of Putin, but many of his most ardent supporters as well. Unfortunately, the behavior of pathological abusers like Trump, and the dictators they turn into, is that they always take their problems out on their own people. Batten down.

Tremendous reporting… admittedly on a bonkers subject: Peter Thiel and others believing humans will become immortal machines (well, those human who are wealthy enough to be the leaders of this fantasy fueled future). Of course, reporting on what Putin is doing to Trump is stunning too!
