SCOTUS is Creating a Theocracy

In a tortured decision, the Supreme Court has taken a baseball bat to separation of church and state, and made it effectively illegal for States to enforce that separation independently.
So much for “states rights.”
States will now be required to reimburse parents for whatever “education” they choose, including “religious schools” which are often not really schools, but act more as youth indoctrination programs.
The parents in the case wanted to send their children to a school that teaches that the Earth was created 6,000 years ago and that people walked around with dinosaurs.
That’s the parents’ right (I guess?) but when they ask for money from Maine, it should be Maine’s right to say “nope, you need to teach science and stuff if you want us to subsidize you.”
If the “purpose” of your school is “to know the Lord Jesus Christ and to make Him known” you are not offering parents education for their kids, you are offering them a way to brainwash their kids into becoming salespeople for your religion.
Freedom of Religion is in the Constitution. People should be able to believe whatever spiritual framework they want. But the fundamental problem with the world is the disintegration of a shared reality. The US Government should not be paying to force an alternate reality into the minds of our children.
Of course this is exactly the intention of this ruling. The Supreme Court is not interpreting the Constitution, it is perverting the Constitution to intentionally create a version of America far more consistent with the Handmaid’s Tale than the nation we live in today.
Justice Amy Coney-Barrett is a life-long member of a charismatic Christian cult that literally makes women “handmaids” who owe complete servitude to men. According to her religion, everything she does is ultimately decided by five white male “coordinators,” not by the Constitution, and not by the moral framework that the vast majority of America lives in.
She is not just a judicial activist, she is a judicial terrorist. A metaphorical suicide bomber that may take the Court down with her. She lied through her teeth about her intentions. She must go.
More generally, the Supreme Court is just… broken. Three Justices were put there by an illegitimate president through illegitimate processes. Six of the current Justices were put there by the Federalist Society, five by Opus Dei member Leonard Leo.
Two-thirds of SCOTUS are Catholic. 22% of American citizens are Catholic. This is not representative democracy.
Of course, the most glaring corruption on SCOTUS has been sitting there for 30 years. Clarence Thomas is married to an insurrectionist and a cultist, and used his Supreme Court vote to protect her. Clarence Thomas must resign.
The Court has been taken over by theocratic fascists. We have to face this problem head on. The decisions this Court will hand down will make this one seem like an afterthought. They will reverse voting rights, women’s rights, gay rights — human rights. They are not there to perfect our democracy, they are there to tear it apart at the foundation.

Reminds me of DeVos's pathetic theocratic cult push for Charter Schools. They have a whole army of homeschooled kids too coming of age. DeVos almost destroyed Michigan's educational system.
