I can’t say for certain if this applies to Erin, but there’s a large group of twitterinos who are branding themselves as Q expert because they are doing a thesis on it in some barely related field while actively gaslighting and trolling. Usually not in the obvious fields like political science, psychology or sociology. I don’t want to discuss specific people, so I wont ID anyone’s field of studies in case they really are genuine academics who got caught up in the cult. However infiltrating academia by getting grad degrees to influence is an old GRU/ KGB tactic (think Maria Butina/ Donald Heathfield). It’s also a great recruiting ground, with poor debt-ladden students. It’s a long game, but pays off big in influencing the left.
