I was watching the 1971 movie Nicholas and Alexandra the other night and I was struck by a scene where an American representative is pleading with Russian Provisional Government PM Kerensky to do something about Lenin. Kerensky says he can't arrest a man for saying what he thinks. The American responds that Lenin is calling for the overthrow of the government and that in America "we call that treason." I don't know how this ends for us.
