Every day we move closer to the election, the psychological battlefield gets more intense. The terrible reality is that national American elections are rarely about ideas or candidates anymore. They are a battle of psyops. Our system has devolved to be about which candidate can best warp reality, not about which one can solve problems.
This has been true for a long time, but we have never had a president or a regime be so blatant about it. This morning, Trump was watching TV and posted that he was very upset with the hostess of Meet the Press, Kristen Welker, and said he was going to report her to the FCC for “rebuke or punishment.”
Unsatisfied with his Stalin-esque attack on a single journalist, the president of the United States saw poll numbers he didn’t like, snapped his fingers, and openly told FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr “SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ABOUT IT. FCC TO THE RESCUE!”
He wants the Federal Communications Commission to ratify his delusions.
This is actual psychosis in action. Trump’s post is the storm front between the real world and his delusional alternate reality. Whenever he see information that he doesn’t like, he seeks to destroy it. But he’s lost the ability to hide the machinery of his malign efforts. He just blurts his conspiracies out loud.
The storm, as they say, has arrived.
