Weimar-ing America: They Haven’t Broken Us. Yet.

The silver lining in the full-spectrum assault on democracy

The full-frontal attack on the post-WWII order, global liberal democracy, the US federal government, and the American people, is in high gear, and the overall plans seem pretty clear. They are grim. However, if you bear with me, there may be a silver lining in their hysteria. Let’s review.

What’s the rush? You still have four years, right?

Maybe not. The accelerationism of it all is being ratcheted up as high, and most importantly, as fast, as possible. This was, unfortunately, foreseeable.

I wrote this almost three years ago. Accelerating us towards the apocalypse has always been the point. The faster, and the deadlier, the better.

Look, there really is no other way to put this but the Trump regime is taking a sledgehammer to everything it can break into. It’s not trying to run the government, it’s trying to delete the government. This is a wide-scale effort to execute the plans of Project 2025, and the “Dark Enlightenment” — which say the same thing for different audiences: The government is evil. Kill the government.

But it’s not just an attack on the republic, it’s an attack on the citizens. And not a theoretical attack, but actions that will have immediate and deadly consequences.

Trump keeps trying to hire people who will kill kids to be in charge of our health while we are in an extremely complex biological threat environment.

There is a measles outbreak, mostly in Red State America, over 250 people hospitalized, and two unvaccinated kids are dead. At the same time, the HHS Director is telling people to take cod liver oil instead of vaccines — and literally sounding out the big words on the back of Ben & Jerry’s cartons to own the libs, or something.

Let me blunt. RFK Jr. is a biological warfare attack on American citizens by the President of the United States and everyone who went along with him in the Senate. It’s really that simple. And there is absolutely no way to know how bad it will be. But as I wrote several months ago, the unthinkable is before us.

Last night, Donald Trump was asked a question about the budget in the Oval Office. What he gave in return was textbook, tiki-torch antisemitism in front of the President of Ireland. This is a version of “dual loyalty” — one of the oldest antisemitic canards in the world.

Donald Trump’s antisemitism is in his bones. His father was a KKK member and a funder of the John Birch Society. Trump has never been very good at hiding it.

This is partly why Elon Musk and Donald Trump get along so well. It’s a reunion of hate. Both Musk and Trump’s families were pro-Hitler—while Hitler was being Hitler — on different continents. It’s also why the entire Russian propaganda machine on “X” had the same, disgusting reaction to Trump’s libel. Antisemitism is back in style, no filter. Just add emojis.

Today, Donald Trump gave a performance in front of the NATO Secretary that truly was, even for him, batshit crazy. He attacked Europe ruthlessly, and openly mused about annexing Greenland, a part of Denmark, a NATO country. And he bragged about “invading” a city in his own nation — where I happen to live — Los Angeles.

In point of fact, he did no such thing, but he lied about it in front of the NATO Secretary… think about that. The mind reels. But way far away from Greenland, the Trump Reich is coming up with military options for the Panama Canal. This seems to be accelerating towards a near-term impact in accordance with the Technate of America — what appears to guide Elon Musk’s plan to turn North America into a giant gas station for his impossible Mars colony.

But perhaps the most blatant accelerationist action of all, despite all his talk of lowering prices on the campaign, Trump is doing everything in his power to crash the economy — fast. Tariffs, of course, only cost the consumers of the country who put them on. It’s a tax that raises prices. That’s the point.

So what Trump is doing by getting into a trade war with half the world, is the best way to create hyperinflation, and evaporate everyone’s 401Ks — as fast as possible.

What Trump is doing to the economy is not ignorance. It’s not “misguided”. It’s working precisely as intended. One of the biggest reasons Weimar Germany fell to the Nazis was hyperinflation, and high unemployment. America, right now, is too strong for them.

That’s why the people physically around Trump want to crash the economy. Your 401k evaporating is a feature not a bug. They want the gold in Fort Knox after the dollar crashes. You will get some Bitcoin in exchange for your bank account — maybe.

OK, that’s a lot of crazy — for a reason. As I said, this is a full-spectrum assault against the entire framework that holds society together. They are taking a Big Swing at collapsing everything.

But.

It’s not collapsing. Yet.

That’s why they are still trying to recreate Weimar conditions. Despite everything they’ve done, despite having all the levers of power, they still have not succeeded in breaking our back. And it has them worried. This is not the behavior of a confident Reich and Donald Trump is not remotely as competent as Adolf Hitler.

It seems clear to me that Trump has been tasked, wittingly or not, with doing as much damage, as fast as possible, to America. This regime wants to make us sick, confused, and at war with the world. It wants to lower our defenses while making us fight each other. Then JD Vance, Peter Thiel’s personal creation, will ride to the rescue to clean up the unfortunate mess that his predecessor made. Just like Hitler rode in to save Weimar in the 1920s, which, according to Peter Thiel last Summer, describes the United States of America in the 2020s.

When Donald Trump resigns, gets the 25th Amendment, or keels over from a bad cup of tea, JD Vance will assure us that the trains run on time now. This will be the moment they will think they have finally won — when in fact it may be the beginning of the end for them. No one wants to answer to JD Vance. No one.

There’s a long way to go in this contest of ideas and of wills, but it seems to me they are desperate and hysterical for a reason. The games have only begun. America is not Weimar. These are not the Nazis, although Nazis they are.
