What makes a traitor? Why would a man considered by some of his colleagues to be a well-respected general officer in the U.S. Army decide to wage war on his own nation? You may be surprised to learn that it’s complicated, but let me try to summarize how the perfect storm for treason gathered around one man.
Mike Flynn grew up in an abusive household with 9 children. As the middle child, he was a well-known bully whose only real option after high school was the military. Flynn’s exploits included systematically stealing and selling bicycles from a neighboring town.
Flynn’s father was a retired Army Sergeant who physically abused his kids. His mother Helen was a major figure in the anti-abortion movement along with her close friend Phyllis Schlafly who almost single-handedly killed the Equal Rights Amendment.
Mike Flynn remembers being dragged to anti-abortion events as a child, which was called “forced family fun.”
Flynn’s proximity to Schlafly is notable for numerous reasons but particularly because his relationship with the Schlaflys continues to this day through the “Eagle Forum.” Importantly, Phyllis Schlafly was a Dame of Malta, a member of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM), a fascist Catholic cult still fighting the Crusades. When she died a few months before the 2016 election, Donald Trump showed up to “pay his respects.”
Other members of the Order of Malta include Leonard Leo, Erik Prince & several Blackwater executives, Reagan CIA Director / Manhattan Institute co-founder William Casey, and Nazi collaborator Franz von Papen.
Flynn believes in his bones that defeating Islam is the most important thing in the world. That’s why he ended up in the Middle East helping his friends Erik Prince and Peter Thiel get rich, while he murdered Muslims for sport with Blackwater goons.
Schlafly and Flynn’s parents were ardent “anti-communists” which has always been a euphemism for “the wrong side won WWII.” One of the most infamous “anti-communists” in history was Mike Flynn’s mentor, Iran-Contra criminal, CIA co-founder Jack Singlaub, who started a non-profit called “America’s Future” in 1946. Before he died, he handed it over to Mike Flynn.
The “anti-communist” movement included groups like the John Birch Society and Singlaub’s version “Western Goals.” It embraced conspiracy theories and cult groups like “I AM” as part of its ideology.
Flynn’s mother was apparently a follower of the Church Universal and Triumphant (CUT) an anti-communist, theosophical “I AM” doomsday cult that worships “Ascended Master Archangel St. Michael.”
Mike Flynn, according to court records, was named after Archangel St. Michael. Three years ago, Flynn read a prayer by CUT cult leader Elizabeth Clare Prophet in a Christian church. He later said his mother gave the prayer to him and he kept it in his wallet.
In the New Testament, Archangel Michael fights Satan in the Final Battle. This is a theme in Flynn’s propaganda both directly and through his psychological warfare campaigns. Both Mike Flynn and “Q” say they fighting a “spiritual war between good and evil.”
This is the same message that groups like ISIS brainwash their members with. This is how you get people to kill people. It’s not a coincidence that Mike Flynn is using ISIS techniques. He brought them to America on purpose.
Mike Flynn was stationed for 17 of his 33 years in the military at Ft. Bragg, now Ft. Liberty — home of Special Forces, 82nd Airborne, and Psychological Operations (PSYOP).
Ft. Bragg has a deeply weird and problematic history. It was the home to “Men Who Stare At Goats” parapsychology experiments, hippy dippy offshoots like New Earth Alliance, and people like Satanic Temple of Set “High Priest” Michael Aquino and Paul Vallely, who together wrote the seminal paper on extending PSYOP beyond pamphlets and radio stations, “From PSYOP to MindWar” in 1980.
The paper was about using a full-spectrum, non-kinetic assault on a population to take them over from within. The goal was regime change without firing a shot. This was very influential on Mike Flynn, who remains close friends with Paul Vallely—now a full time QAnon, anti-government propagandist.
As an intelligence officer, Flynn used PSYOP in nearly all his missions, and according to himself has used it to “take over countries around the world.” This would presumably include Central America where he spent much of the 80s under Reagan, and the Middle East where he spent the 2000s. He also ran operations in Haiti, and tours in Europe under Clinton in the 90s.
Things seemed to start going south for Flynn when his good friend Erik Prince’s murderous private military company Blackwater got in trouble for massacring Muslims in Humvees named after the Knights Templar. Flynn’s boss, Stanley McChrystal had Flynn running intelligence in Afghanistan while Flynn’s brother Charlie was chief of staff.
A reporter named Michael Hastings began to dig around, and wrote a book called “The Operators” and a series of articles that opened a window into the violent, corrupt group of sociopaths who were doing pretty much whatever they wanted in Afghanistan. This led to McChrystal’s resignation while the Flynn brothers were split up and sent packing back home.
Mike Flynn managed to fail up to be Assistant DNI and then was nominated for Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Director by Obama in 2012, a fateful error. Before taking over the DIA, Flynn wrote a paper about how the US should start thinking about using techniques learned from terrorists in the Middle East, and commissioned a white paper collecting all the research he could find on destabilizing democracies using “irregular warfare,” insurgencies, and psychological warfare.
As soon as he got to DIA, Flynn started gaslighting his colleagues to do what he wanted by using “Flynn facts” — which were “facts” that Flynn either knew were false or didn’t care, in order to manipulate people.
During the month of June 2013, as Director of DIA, three very notable events took place for Flynn.
Flynn took a trip, as the first and only American to visit Russian military intelligence (GRU) headquarters in Moscow for a 4-day “leadership conference.”
Edward Snowden leaked classified information from Flynn’s top-secret DIA servers to Wikileaks, Greenwald and others. Snowden was an NSA employee with no access to DIA networks.
Michael Hastings died in a mysterious one car crash at 100mph after he contacted a number of people about a “big story.” One of those people was Flynn’s former soldier, Joseph Biggs, now in prison for seditious conspiracy.
June 2013 appears to be the moment LTG General Mike Flynn, as Director of the DIA, made a suicide pact with the Russians and began operating as an asset of the Kremlin.
Flynn’s chief adversary Michael Hastings was out of the way, Russian spy Edward Snowden had gotten Flynn’s most damaging classified documents, and Flynn had befriended the head of Russian military intelligence (GRU), Igor Sergun, in Moscow.
Flynn invited Sergun back to DC for a meeting in February 2014. That meeting didn’t happen because the Ukrainians began Maidan, a revolution against the Manafort-groomed oligarch that had been installed by Putin, Viktor Yanukovich. In response, the GRU began building up Spetsnaz soldiers, aka “little green men” on the border of Crimea.
There was a “disagreement” in the intelligence community about whether the GRU build up represented a threat of invasion into Ukraine or not. The CIA was convinced that Putin was planning to launch an attack on Crimea. However, as the top military intelligence officer in the US, Mike Flynn’s agency DIA dismissed the potential invasion as unlikely. The Pentagon stood down and did not warn Obama of the imminent threat.
After Spetsnaz soldiers took Crimea with almost no resistance, Flynn went on a press tour to try to cover up his blatant failure to warn about Putin’s invasion — and tried to gaslight the Obama administration, and the press, about what he allowed to happen.
Six weeks later, Mike Flynn was fired — a highly unusual move for a person in his position — by Obama.
Flynn’s dismissal by a Black man, with the assent of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, caused grave injury to Mike Flynn’s ego. From that time forward, Obama and Clinton, and the government of the United States more generally, became Flynn’s mortal enemies. Flynn’s upbringing left him deeply racist and misogynistic and everything he’s done in the last decade has included a large dose of “retribution” for his narcissistic wounds.
But why would Flynn throw in his lot with Putin in the first place? Why would he make the decision to commit treason, espionage and seditious conspiracy against the US?
Going back to his roots, Flynn and his partners have convinced themselves that they are destined to save the world from both communism and Islam, that they are the Crusaders who will remake the world. Part of this strategy is to align the US with Russia against China.
Erik Prince, Mike Flynn, Steve Bannon and Peter Thiel all rationalize that the greatest geopolitical threat to the world is “communist China” and spread paranoia about a “communist” infiltration of the US. They see helping Putin succeed in Europe as part of grand master plan to split Russia off from its alliance with China to join forces with the US.
When seen in this context, it’s much easier to understand Flynn and his co-conspirators’ behavior. In counterintelligence, the motivation of malicious actors can broken down into MICE — Money, Ideology, Compromising info, Ego. It’s not difficult to see that Mike Flynn’s behavior demonstrates that he fits each of these categories.
Flynn was the perfect storm for treason.
