This past week, the Tennessee legislature went totalitarian and against the will of the voters and constitutional law. As a result, this action of removing 2 African American state legislators, both are Democrats and of early age, encapsulates at the least the prevailing racism and lack of wanting to alter long standing ideas. I ask you, why is this considered tolerable? Not from ourselves, mind you. Yet the white population is willing to not even mask their inherent racist intentions. This Is not the only concern. I have been noticing that state legislatures across the country have super majorities of one party dominating the agenda. In Tennessee, for instance, about 75% of the legislature’s lower chamber are Republicans. Now, that surprised me.
Does it not seem to you that these Republican strangleholds have more in common with the idea of being emotional “snowflakes” than what is often attributed to ourselves? In that same Tennessee palace coup, the GOP caucus gave very selfish reasoning for the removals of Reps. Justin Jones and Justin Pearson (D) was due to their having a bullhorn in the legislative chamber. Oh, come the hell on! A joke of an excuse that has prompted the Nashville City Council to reinstate Rep. Jones, and hopefully Rep. Pearson once you read this. You and I have seen worse, including on the floors of the federal government. In short, we have still a racism problem, and we have still a gun problem. Today in Kentucky would not have occurred had there been a gun ban. As well as greater protection among minorities. Repeal the 2nd amendment. That is just to start.
I am not sure why my account is on that card. The card I usually use had to be replaced with a different number which is causing problems so I thought I was being asked to supply new number and the $200 was a suggested sum and by hitting button I would be given options.
your email ends with z, right? I see you signed up for 11 months. There’s no upgrade or charge on this end yet. If you get charged from the CC company, just reply to any email and we’ll get it sorted out off line,
Thanks, I called my bank and it is in “pending” status and there is nothing they can do. I did contact substack directly and hopefully they will get back to me
