Civil War
This is a civil war. So far it’s not kinetic, but that will not be for long.
The new Confederacy has a general, Mike Flynn, and it has powerful backers, including a massive theocratic cult that believes America must be a Christian nation for Jesus to come save them, as well as the Russian, Saudi, UAE, Iranian and Chinese governments, among others, and oligarchs like Elon Musk.
Here is Kevin Roberts, CEO of the Heritage Foundation, the architects of the theocratic fascist plan to decimate the federal government and replace America with a Christian nation, Project 2025.
“We are in the process of the Second American Revolution which will remain bloodless, if the left allows it to be.”
Last year, the Heritage Foundation “pivoted away from its traditionally hawkish stance on Russia” while it plotted to take over the United States government. It is plainly engaged in seditious conspiracy in collusion with our adversaries — and now it’s openly threatening violence. The people promoting it should be arrested.
The question one must ask is, what army is the Heritage Foundation planning on using for its “revolution”? It doesn’t have a paramilitary. How will it enforce its plan?
The answer is that Mike Flynn has already formed the brownshirts, and he’s ready to deploy them. His “digital soldiers” have been preparing to go kinetic and Flynn is literally arming them himself — with a Revolutionary War theme, and bump stocks, courtesy of the Supreme Cult.
Here’s the current state of the civil war inside the federal government. We are in a stalemate because we refuse to take the necessary action to save our republic. Democracy can and must survive, but the status quo will not be sufficient. Decisive action is required.
The red circles are fully captured by the New Confederacy, the orange circles are effectively disabled. The Executive is the only Branch still, in theory, that wants to preserve the American Experiment. The Senate is a deer in the headlights, but could still take important action.
Background
This election is going to be attacked by any means necessary to destroy it, to include terrorism and armed rebellion with the assistance of “constitutional sheriffs.” Mike Flynn has been preparing the battlefield for a national insurrection since 2020. He just completed a national tour a caravan full of the people who planned J6 with him.
The insurrection on J6 was just a test of the system in comparison to what he has planned for us. While we prepare for the most fraught election since 1860, Flynn and our adversaries are relying on a truism taught in his psychological warfare manuals:
“People who are confused, do nothing.”
We must not be confused. We must not do nothing.
We need a war plan. We need a vision. Our enemies have a general who is war gaming this out. So far, on our side, we have a lot of bedwetting.
War Plan
The only thing that matters is restoring the entire federal government to functional order. The President must use the powers granted to him by the citizens of the United States to protect the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic, as per his Oath of Office.
The President should declare Russia a terrorist state in order to appropriately manage the threat of its influence and American agents. The currently ambiguous relationship with an enemy that is actively trying to destroy us, is suicidal. We must recognize the threat in order to mitigate it.
This would allow us to treat Russian propaganda the same way we do ISIS and al-Qaeda propaganda, and make it far easier to prosecute Russian collaborators and agents.
Executive Branch
Military
As Commander-in-Chief, the President must restore order in the military. He should recall seditious retired officers to duty and lock them up in military prison awaiting courts-martial for treason. These include retired generals Mike Flynn, Doug MacGregor, Paul Vallely and many others.
The rationale given by some former military for not recalling Flynn, et al. is that the brass doesn’t want to seem “political.” In the real world, allowing traitors in your ranks to avoid dealing with your own failures is as political as it gets.
The President must fire Charles Flynn as Commander of the Pacific Army and investigate him for seditious conspiracy on January 6th.
Biden should fire Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth who has been protecting Charles Flynn, and has allowed elements like 4th PSYOP Group to get out of control on her watch.
The President should demand The Joint Staff and Secretary of Defense assure the American people that the military is not harboring seditionists in its ranks. They should all remind the military of their duty.
DOJ
The President must fire Federalist Society member Merrick Garland. Period.
Garland was a mistake, and it should have been corrected long ago. He is incompetent and feckless at best. The failure of the Justice Department to do justice is not acceptable. We cannot survive his reign of mediocrity any longer.
FBI
Fire Christopher Wray.
The only reason to keep Chris Wray in his job is “norms.” The FBI Director is supposed to get a ten-year term of office, in order to keep it “non-political.” But in a war, norms are just territory you surrender to the enemy in advance. We cannot afford powdered wigs in this moment. We must use all legal tools necessary, and Chris Wray won’t.
The FBI failed to protect us on January 6th, despite people like me warning about it in advance. Wray has spread conspiracy theories about Chinese biolabs on Fox News, while he ignores the Russian invasion almost entirely. Wray is complicit at best, and seems to be actively cooperating with our adversaries.
DNI
Fire Avril Haynes. Every one of our intelligence agencies reports to the Director of National Intelligence. For nearly four years, we’ve heard almost nothing from her while a fascist insurgency backed by our enemies has risen up and prepared for mass violence.
She tried to conceal her previous experience at Peter Thiel’s company Palantir before joining the administration. She must go and be replaced by someone who will aggressively protect America. She is not giving the President good advice.
Chief of Staff
Fire Jeff Zients. Frankly, I didn’t know until recently that Zients was the Chief of Staff, and I certainly couldn’t have identified him from a lineup. This passive White House needs a shake up. The Chief of Staff is one of the most powerful positions in the world and we need a powerhouse in the job to get us through this period of history. This is not him.
Legislative
First, we must win clear majorities in both houses of Congress, as well as the presidency in order to fix the government, but that cannot be accomplished just by voting harder. There is a clear plan to attack the electoral system, to reduce the electoral count of the winner to under 270, “which would throw the vote to the House.”
We must protect elections. In every state. With National Guard if necessary. The probability of violence is near 100%.
And we must put down the seditionist “constitutional sheriffs” movement that is ready to assist Mike Flynn with a national insurrection to interfere with the election. The FBI and DOJ must intervene before its too late.
Judicial
The President must expand the Supreme Court and impeach the frauds installed by Leonard Leo. It is an illegitimate enemy combatant in a civil war.
The President should physically shut down SCOTUS until the next Congress while DOJ investigates criminal Justices Alito and Thomas and adds more seats to the bench.
Biden should not reopen the building until the Court has been corrected. If we give it another chance to dismantle the Constitution, the only thing we can be guaranteed is that it will do exactly that.
Lincoln
It is time for the President to remember his history.
In 1860, America was on the brink of civil war. We had a choice to submit to a Confederacy that wanted to remain a nation of slavery, or defend our democracy and the progress that the Constitution is designed to create. Abraham Lincoln chose wisely, even though it was very, very hard.
In 1933, Weimar Germany was in chaos as the result of Nazi infiltration and active measures. Paul von Hindenburg chose to make Adolf Hitler Chancellor to appease his opposition.
Are we still America? Or are we Weimar? I hope the President chooses wisely.

The problem is I don't think anybody has any faith that any of these things let alone one of them is going to happen!
As you say, the president is getting terrible advice. Clearly the case before the debate! Malcolm Nance suggested starting small groups of demonstrators. Five seemingly in an attempt to make a bite-sized showing of support for democracy over autocracy. It's crazy that there's no sort of national leadership on mass demonstrations. This should have been the case when McConnell first brazenly denied a democratic selection for the court. We should have been out in the hundreds of thousands. When rovey weighed died we should . When the Dobbs decision was handed down, we should have been in the streets by the hundreds of thousands. I'm afraid that social media and the phone and as you say confusion and chaos has loved us into complete inaction. My friends agree with me but they think I'm nuts. They have no fucking idea! I'm I'm probably mistakenly waiting till my retirement in a couple of years to devote myself full-time to some sort of public service if not grassroots actions etc etc. What do I do besides telling everybody I know the things I know? That's where the small groups of five seem to make sense. I sure as hell can grab five buddies and stand in front of Miami city hall. Maybe call the local newspaper. If everybody in your group, lucid, Heather Cox Richardson's group, byline Heidi Cuda's made a small group of five and got out there on the same day that would be an event!
You’ve laid it out pretty clear, Jim. Thank you.
161 years ago, this weekend, a seemingly invincible army of traitorous confederates, led by Gen. Lee, began a battle at Gettysburg PA. There was NO guarantee that he could be prevented from taking the next step to take Washington DC, and thus, defeat the Union.
There is no guarantee that, in our November election, the traitorous confederates (version 2.0) will be defeated, and Biden is successfully re-inaugurated
This is how war is. Gut-wrenching uncertainty. And an absolute necessity for each of us to find our place to defend democracy
