Information War Is Not “Free Speech”
How the First Amendment has been weaponized to allow people to be hoaxed, coerced, and brainwashed into doing the bidding of the oligarchy.
As the Founders were debating the Constitution, they chose to include the Right to Free Speech in the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights for good reason. Freedom of ideas, of expression, of the press, and of religion were all repressed in the theocratic colonial monarchy they lived in before the Revolution. They knew that ensuring the nation they were creating broke those intellectual chains was central to the American Experiment.
The thing they could not possibly have known is that they forgot to include an even more fundamental right — the freedom to think for yourself. Who could have imagined that could ever be under threat?
Fast forward 236 years after the Constitution was ratified. The essential meaning of “free speech” is that people should be able to decide for themselves what to believe based on freely given information. But the project of many “free speech” advocates is actually to grant themselves the power to force people to believe things that are not real.
This morning half-trillionaire Elon Musk tweeted:
“Freedom of speech is the bedrock of democracy.”
Given Musk’s transparent desire to destroy democracy, this is a pretty telling statement by itself — projection on a grand scale — but the underlying fallacy is the false premise that people’s right to say things to one another is the same thing as psychological warfare.
Also Musk:
This is an admission that his intention for Twitter all along was to run a psychological operation of his own, to counter the “woke mind virus” that he contends “murdered” his trans daughter, who he has completely rejected — and hates him in return.
Here we have the basics of what Elon Musk is really trying to do. He’s disgusted by empathy and altruism because he doesn’t experience those things and doesn’t understand why others have feelings about people or care about strangers — especially when they get in the way of his making even more money. It just doesn’t compute.
This is messianic narcissism combined with psychopathy, an extremely dangerous combination in anyone, much less the richest man in the world who just bought the US President.
Almost three years ago, 6 months before he bought Twitter, I saw him tweet this meme which confirmed what I was seeing:

This is a depiction of the Overton Window, the acceptable range of public discourse, from left to right. Musk thought somehow the world had gone crazy with “liberal,” “left,” “progressive” ideas so he wanted to “balance things out” with “free speech.”
He succeeded, but only through his “free speech” not anyone else’s. Elon Musk decides whose speech is free and whose isn’t on the former Twitter. In this way, he imposes reflexive control, a Soviet theory of information warfare, on his hundreds of millions of followers.
As an example, from his new AI-generated “Explore” tab on Twitter, Musk constantly over-represents the danger of “mass-extinction” from declining birth rates in Western countries, and validates white supremacists like the neo-Nazi AfD party to create terror of minorities and immigrants.
Elon Musk’s website is not exactly telling you to be a Nazi here, but if you are constantly fed this propaganda, and you have any vulnerability to these authoritarian, racist ideas, guess what will happen? You will begin to sympathize with these views and take on these phobias. And because the environment rewards people who reflect these ideas back, you will be encouraged to continue down the rabbithole towards more and more radical beliefs.
This is reflexive control aka psyops at the largest scale in human history.
From a 38-year-old paper about Soviet reflexive control: “The leader operates with a special reality… as sole formulator and controller of group decisions and actions.” The struggle between Donald Trump and Elon Musk for this position will be interesting but will ultimately end up with JD Vance as the mouthpiece for Elon Musk and Antichrist Peter Thiel. At this point, Trump is merely in the way.

Don’t let anyone tell you that using weapons of information war — psyops, reflexive control, and propaganda — are “free speech.” That’s nonsense. Psychological war is war. Brainwashing people is an attack on the very essence of who they are, a violation at the deepest level of their essential humanity.
Calling Elon Musk’s behavior “free speech” is like saying dropping a nuke on a major city is an exercise of one’s 2nd Amendment rights. It’s a gross perversion of our Constitution and a violation of the very freedoms our Founders wanted to preserve and protect. Don’t fall for it.

When billionaires talk about “freedom” they mean LICENSE, the license to do or say anything they like…no restrictions on THEM whatsoever. They don't want to have to be concerned about anybody else. They use others to meet their own needs and feel entitled to this one-sided arrangement. They can't tolerate having to respond to the needs of other people.
I read Dave Troy's article and clicked through on the Russian material, basically a book; still, wrapping one's head around reflexive control is not easy. It warrants a YouTube video tutorial. Hearst had ambitions to become president of the United States and gobbled up media to try to make it so. If he had had a platform as powerful as X, it may have come to pass.
