I joined Mastodon a few years ago. Couldn't really figure it out and didn't really need to. So I ignored it. Now that Twitter's fast becoming even more of a shit show, I went back to my log in. Server's dead. So I guess I need to start over. But I agree, if we can get our heads around it, and they can get their bandwidth up (I heard they're upgrading servers like mad), the theory of it is good. It's probably better than CS and Tribel... Time will tell.
I used to follow Jester on Twitter. He was a bit full of himself, but seemed like a cool guy. Then I started seeing chinks in the armor and had questions. He had very thin skin, wanted to be right/in charge, and then he got into a shitting match with Anonymous. That was when I decided to quit following him.
That was a couple years ago. Last week, I mentioned to someone looking around for something new that, I dunno, the Counter Social guy was a little sketchy. He popped up and asked why I would say that. Having been a couple years and wanting to be accurate, I looked up our interactions. He blocked me before I could reply. 🙄 Whatever... thin skin... like I said. 🤷🏽♀️

I followed both of them for a long period of time and can verify that Jester's a thin skinned narcissist. Jim's doing his best to fight fascism. Different reasons for fighting people, eh?
Oh heads up, the rumor that they, whoever they is as usual, that they, is going to cutoff diesel. It was coming out of Louisiana early today. (Before my electric went off.) Chicken industrialist, is putting this out to their drivers.
