A few things to share at the end of this no good, hair-on-fire, wtf-did-I-just-watch week.
I did a quick live update after I withdrew my support from the Democratic Party last night. Nothing I’ve seen has made me regret it even a little. It’s an absolutely enraging, totally self-inflicted wound based on the fear of “political backlash” or that the public will “blame Democrats” two years from now — as if any of this will even be remembered then. It’s all a sure sign things need to get worse before they get better. So, I’m out.
In perhaps the most vein-popping display of sheer criminal arrogance I’ve seen since Proud Boys befouled the walls of Congress, Russian subcontractor Benny Johnson — who was identified in a DOJ indictment as receiving up to $100,000 per video in laundered Russian money — did a deeply cringey video from DOJ, with the worst traitor in American history, Mike Flynn.
These are two criminal turncoats bragging openly about Flynn being there to institute a “revenge tour” of his enemies. America is an utterly failed state.
Of course, to cap off this display at the former Justice Department, Donald Trump said that while he can’t name everyone, he had time for the plaintiff in my lawsuit — “General Flynn… there’s a man who went through hell by the way and he shouldn’t have.”
Cry harder.
Finally, Elon Musk has a Tesla marketing event pinned to his “X” account. Nothing he does is unintentional, and sure enough it turns out he’s appropriating yet another fascist symbol, this time the British Union of Fascists flag which was led by virulent antisemite Oswald Mosley, who had Hitler as guest of honor at his second wedding.
By request, I’ve compiled a few of his more egregious recent fascist signals, set it to Wagner for obvious reasons and made it downloadable. I hope it’s clear and short enough to show people who might not understand just how much of a Nazi he truly is.
It’s important that as many people know what he believes, because making him as radioactive as possible to MAGA and any low-information normies is crucial to anything we might save from this catastrophe.
