The Great Displacement: Behind Trump’s Meltdown Over Greenland
Trump’s narcissistic injury over Epstein has been transferred to narcissistic rage over the Nobel Peace Prize.
The President of the United States is severely mentally ill. It’s well past time for the world to acknowledge it—and to start taking serious defensive measures to protect us all from the potential consequences.
Trump sent a letter to the Prime Minister of Norway Sunday night which is equally irrational, illogical, and illegal. It is also a map of Trump’s psychological and neurological disorders.

Displacement
In this short letter, Trump vividly demonstrates one of the most common strategies of narcissists under threat: displacement. “You made me do it” is what every abuser says to his victim.
It is also wildly illegal to tie military action to a personal insult. This one line is far worse than what Trump was impeached for the first time:
“Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace…”
Trump’s narcissistic injury over Epstein—the threat to his self-image of respect, status, and power—has been transferred to narcissistic rage over the Nobel Peace Prize.
To make this displacement even more distant, the Nobel Committee is not controlled by the Norwegian government—and Norway does not control Greenland. Denmark does.
Moreover, Trump actually owns the physical Nobel Peace Prize because the rightful laureate, Maria Corina Machado, gave it to him in the hopes that he would allow her to run Venezuela. Instead, he immediately forgot her name.
And while Trump claims that Russia is a threat to take over Greenland, hours later he invited Putin to be on the “Board of Peace” for Gaza. It is not just incoherent as foreign policy, it is a mirror world.
The “logic” behind Trump’s letter is completely internal to himself, which is why it is utterly incoherent to most people. But inside his mind, it makes sense. His self-image has been damaged, and this is an attempt to repair it by displacing blame for his own actions to outsiders—and by reasserting his dominance over the world.
Dementia
Trump’s decline is not just psychological. By now that is very clear. Trump is suffering the effects of progressive dementia, and likely vascular problems as well.
Among the primary behavioral markers of frontotemporal dementia are disinhibition, increasingly inappropriate behavior, impulsivity, irritability, and lack of judgement. Trump’s letter is all of the above, and it’s part of a clear spiral pattern. He has lost the ability to distinguish his internal reality from the objective world, so anyone who deviates from his self-image becomes a target for his rage.
Grandiose Delusions
Trump’s illness is being taken advantage of by the people around him. In addition to his personal malignancy, he is dangerously gullible.
Secondary delusions are the mythology created when a delusional person builds a narrative that protects their false beliefs. When others cooperate to make that narrative seem real, you get a relationship like Stephen Miller and Donald Trump.
Miller and the other sycophants around Trump don’t try to moderate Trump’s grandiosity; they protect his delusions, and build on them. Trump is not a president; he is a weapon that can be aimed by showing him a tweet or a fake video.
True Purpose
Trump’s move to take Greenland by force would be opposed by 86% of the American population. To any normal person, this alone would be a reason to abandon the idea. But Trump is not normal, and this may be exactly why he does it. He isn’t worried about reelection anymore. Instead, he’s creating harder and harder loyalty tests to calcify permanent power.
But beyond Trump’s personal collapse, I see three main reasons he will actually invade Greenland:
It would effectively destroy NATO, which is Putin’s primary geopolitical goal. Trump has been trying to undermine NATO since 1987—right after coming back from his first trip to Moscow.
The broligarchs convinced Trump they need the minerals and land for AI data centers. Keeping the AI bubble inflated is existential to the regime.
This kind of transgressive action creates a massive distraction from the fact that the DOJ is breaking the law by failing to release the Epstein files.
Right now, there are 1500 soldiers in Alaska getting ready to be “deployed to Minnesota”—if Trump decides to illegally invoke the Insurrection Act to suppress the protests in Minneapolis. However, the 11th Airborne—which specializes in Arctic warfare—could just as easily be sent to Greenland.
There is no line Trump will not cross because his mental illness has erased the lines from his internal map. He is the most dangerous man in modern history because he is unmoored from reality—and controls the U.S. federal government.
Dearest Europe
I wrote this letter to Europe 11 months ago. Every word of it still applies—only with even more emphasis now. Donald Trump is mentally ill and out of control. And our system of “checks” and “balances” is doing neither.
Dearest Europe,
A bit of a switcheroo here, I’m afraid. We’ve gotten ourselves into quite the pickle and we need you to do us a few favors in the meantime.
Please wrap your arms around Ukraine, protect the nation and the people from the war criminal terrorizing civilians with drone strikes every day. If you let Putin succeed in Ukraine, Eastern Europe is next, and there is no knowing where he will stop.
Ukraine needs weapons, ammunition, troops, supplies and money. Do what it takes. You have the resources. You are facing another Hitler, but Charles Lindbergh and Henry Ford are now running America. We won’t come to help.
You should also, as Zelenskyy recently said, build an army in Europe. You cannot rely on the United States for the foreseeable future. We have abdicated our role, both morally and militarily. Kick us out of NATO and create a war economy in Europe.
You should ban all of Elon Musk’s products from Europe. Convert Tesla factories to weapons manufacturing. But most of all, you must ban “X”. It is a toxic poison destroying the fabric of civilization. Do not let it destroy you as it has us.
We will, as we always have, defeat this threat to our nation. However, this time is truly different because the evil has grown inside, and there is no way to know how long it will take to get it out. But please be assured that Les Misérables are sharpening the guillotines, and we will get the bastards, eventually.
Be strong in the meantime. We are still with you, in spirit anyway.
Your old friend,
America
As Leon Trotsky said: “You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.”

Fantastic article today,Jim , you nailed it‼️🎯 and will reStack ASAP 🙏
I saw Malcolm Nance's post on the Alaska airborne division's potential deployment to Minnesota as a likely diversion from its real objective. May the generals and cooler heads prevail in talking tRump out of this, though I fear he only listens to Miller and Hegseth.
