I remember reading about “incels” around 2013/14. I thought it was a small group of very impressionable young men that would sooner or later grow up. There was a tragic and bizarre shooting in which a male college student was streaming his rants (in his BMW?) about all of the college women dating “loser jocks”, and “men who treated them poorly”, while overlooking nice, smart, men like him. It took place in CA. Santa Barbara??
He did murder some people. Around this time, I started using the computer less and less. I never realized what direction this whole movement took. Social media was just not for me, and I only recently started posting on twitter. I joined twitter because I had been watching Zev Shalev and you, Heidi and Sean were all on his show at one time or another. Was the incel movement back in early 2010s orchestrated on purpose by the overall far far right? 😑
