Six Month Gut Punch
If we don’t feel safe, no politician should.
Six months ago today, those of us who managed to retain our sanity for the last decade watched as the world flipped upside down and America became the bad guys. When Zelenskyy congratulated Trump on his election night victory before the race was called, I was, as the British say, gutted.
The Trump regime started that night because Democrats had no plan for losing, no long game, and no fight. It was complete collapse during the transition. Biden and Harris disappeared, the administration effectively shut down, and the gloating—and the destruction—began early.
I started tracking the hybrid warfare-created insurgency that has taken over the US government nearly five years ago. I watched it attack the Capitol, regroup for four years through a feckless Biden administration, and then successfully attack us again 6 months ago with Elon Musk, Peter Thiel and Putin’s money. All of it was foreseeable, avoidable, and tragic.
The hard truth is that Democrats are controlled opposition to a fascist movement that has been consuming power through cheating for over fifty years. Every single Republican since Nixon has been elected through fraud, so they can install a corrupt administration that makes themselves richer at the People’s expense.
The Democrats are the battered spouse in this relationship, addicted to picking up the pieces from Republican destruction, appeasing their infractions on our freedoms, and memoryholing their crimes. The establishment political world is an alternate reality, regardless of which side the aisle you sit on—but it has now become completely disconnected all around. This Truman Show needs to be ended for all if we’re going to escape this vicious cycle.
No Democrat that has been a willing participant in this long pattern of abuse should feel “safe” from newer, younger and more militant candidates. For that matter, the Democratic Party should not feel “safe” from other options.
The American people are getting tired of being unwilling participants in bipartisan Kabuki, cooperative theater that elected a gullible, corrupt clown who just said he doesn’t know if he needs to “uphold” the Constitution, published a picture of himself as the pope, and put a 100% tariff on foreign movies—all while the media normalizes it and Democrats politely wring their hands.
I left the Democratic Party because if it’s going to survive, if democracy is going to survive, we must break this abusive cycle, cast out the people who participated in allowing it, and renew our dedication to the pursuit of liberty and justice for all.
If we don’t feel safe, no politician should. It’s really that simple.
It has been a long six months, brutal, as designed. The Rule of Law, the Constitution, our national security, and our national identity are under assault. Nevertheless, we persist because it’s not about politics anymore, it’s about liberty.
Never let them tell you how to fight.
